National Pile Croppers are proud to be sponsoring Etwall FC
NPC have kindly put their hands in their pockets in order to sponsor their local youth football club team Etwall FC, who we have close ties to due to family members being associated with, or playing for the club.
Recently formed football club based in the village of Etwall.
Etwall FC are affiliated to the Derbyshire FA and have recently been accredited with the FA Chartered Standard status. We have an U7’s, an U11’s team, a U14’s team and a Vets team.
We have also set up a Saturday morning tots club to encourage the community to actively participate in sport.
They currently lease the use of a football pitch and changing rooms from the parish council. The pitch side changing rooms have not been used for approx. 20 years and, at present, are in an unusable state.
They wish to use the funding to replace the existing pipework and showers to see the changing rooms operational again.
This will ensure that all Etwall FC teams, parents, partners and supporters can use the facility again.
Approx. 2 years ago They started with one under 9’s team. They've have since grown to have an U7’s , U14s team, a Vets team and a successful Saturday morning Tots club. Etwall FC now have over 80 people enjoying participating in sport through our football club.
This facility is the home ground for the U14s team, the Vets team and the tots club. At present these teams have nowhere to shower or use toilets so this funding would be a massive help.
A key priority for the council plan is to encourage healthy lifestyles. Having great facilities will hopefully encourage and inspire people of all ages and different backgrounds to come together and participate in sport in a caring and fun environment.
All this work is performed on a voluntary basis where precious time is given to serve the community and make the community a better place.
Year upon year they will intend to create new teams and increase participation. This can only be achieved through having good facilities.
Success for them will be measured through children and adults using the facility for what it was intended. A functional changing room can also harness a great team working ethic and togetherness which will hopefully contribute in decreasing mental health issues.
Smiles on faces is our ultimate target.
